We are a partner of the Dachstein-Salzkammergut Friends of Hiking association and therefore offer our guests im Salzkammergut zu bieten.

• and other hiking-related literature

for our guests to peruse.

Twice a week we offer hikes with our experienced and knowledgeable in-house guide Dietmar Köberl who knows the Salzkammergut region like the back of his hand.

In addition our guests can choose from a choice of guided hikes that are offered weekly in cooperation with the Dachstein-Salzkammergut Hiking Friends. A detailed program is available at the reception.

History and geology buffs can choose from among several expert-lead hikes which are offered throughout the summer season. Request our brochure for more information.

For our hiking guests the hotel offers

• a drying room for boots and clothes


• a snack pack for early-risers and for long hikes


• rental poles, rucksacks, and raingear

without surcharge. Shuttle service is offered for a fee.

And if you want a break from hiking you can always grab one of our free trekking bikes and ride around Lake Hallstättersee or along the scenic Salzkammergut cycleway to Lake Wolfgang or Lake Traunsee.
