Food is as much part of a culture as are language, landscapes and the people. Good food and good wine are central to the Salzkammergut

Eating local food is an essential part of the travel experience and our region offers plenty of interesting and tasty dishes to enjoy.

We serve our food in the comfortable parlors in our historic main building and, in the summer, in the beautiful beer garden where two old trees – an ancient chestnut tree and the legendary Emperor’s oak – provide welcome shade.

We spoil our guests with refined local and Austrian cuisine, lovingly prepared with the best and freshest of local produce whenever possible, with a great emphasis on seasonal ingredients. We also offer a selection of vegetarian and high-carb dishes. Our menu is enhanced by a fine list of Austrian top wines.

From mid June to mid September we offer live folk music on Friday evenings.
