Built in 1517 and a cultural monument protected under the Hague Convention, the Agathawirt today is one of the Salzkammergut’s best known houses.
Our long-standing tradition of hospitality ensures that your stay here is filled with the warmest of memories!
The Agathawirt remained true to its roots as a traditional inn. Beer garden in the summer – fireplace in the winter; relaxed chats and laughter, good food and good company. We don’t organize artificial entertainment program. Instead we leave it to our guests to enjoy the pristine Hallstatt-Dachstein-Salzkammergut region, a UNESCO cultural landscape.
Holidays here are about sunrises, water fun at nearby Lake Hallstättersee or our own pool, about cave hikes and hut parties, about blue skies and sometimes rain.
